France has a number of specialised handiwork studios, where many aesthetic objects are brought to life. These are made with a uniquely French sensibility, and with careful discipline.
There are a number of specialist workshops, such as flower artists, studios that make three-dimensional embroidery, or studios that are specialised in frames for paintings – which are referred to as Métiers d’Art: art professions that require a high level of skill and taste.
Among those workshops, we, h joaillerie have set up a studio as a Joaillier who hand-makes custom fine jewellery piece by piece, in Marais, which is the centre of Paris’ fashion district.
In France, one-of-a-kind fine jewellery is called Pièce Unique. It is common to gift a Pièce Unique for an anniversary, wedding or for celebration of a life milestone, as well as to order a custom-made piece for oneself.
Unlike boutiques, many jewellery studios do not disclose their address for security reasons; therefore clients usually need to make an appointment for a one-on-one consultation with the artists.

ブティックとは違い防犯のため住所を公開していないアトリエも多く、顧客はアポイントを取ってからアトリエを訪問し、個別に相談するのが一般的です。
